Meet Mr. Charest

Mr. Gregg Charest graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Music in Education, and has studied percussion with Walter Tokarcyzk, Craig McNutt, and Ronald Stabile. Mr. Charest is a member of the Coastline Swing Band, and has performed with the Dawn Chung Jazz Trio, The Ocean State Chamber Orchestra, The Rhode Island Philharmonic, Pete Seeger, and the Swanhurst Chorus Orchestra, among others.

Mr. Charest is the owner and chief engineer of Sinfonia Digital Recording, a studio which specializes in recording live performances of classical music. Mr. Charest has been fortunate to record many, many concerts, including performances by Boston's "Epic Brass," Great Britain's famous Baroque Ensemble "Red Priest," along with Rhode Island's own Grammy nominated Jazz Pianist Joe Parillo.

Mr. Charest also has an extensive amount of experience in concert productions, having stage managed, as well as working six concert seasons at the world renowned Newport Music Festival. Mr. Charest estimates that he has been to nearly three thousand concerts as either a performer, stage manager, lighting technician, recording engineer, or audience member.
