On Thursday, April 11, 2013, the EWG Senior High Band will travel to Orlando, Florida to perform at Walt Disney World in the “Festival Disney” program.  Our students will compete with bands from across the United States, and will return to Rhode Island on Sunday evening, April 15, 2013. 

At the present time, we require a deposit of $100.00 to reserve airfare for this trip. Please fill out the permission slip included with this letter, and make your checks payable to POPS.  This deposit is due no later than June 15 to reserve a spot on the trip.  Participation will be based on a first come, first served basis except in cases where instrumentation of the band would be adversely affected in competition.  Please mail your deposit to: EWG Music Department attn. Greenwich, RI 02817.  The total cost for this trip is currently estimated at $1400.00 per student.  This price is subject to change, and should only serve as a reference.

I am in need of several chaperones for this trip.  I have run this trip in the past with efficiency, making the roles of the chaperone less burdensome than one might think (actually lots of fun).  Please consider traveling with us.  Chaperones will travel at a considerably reduced cost (usually half price), but for now should also send an airfare deposit of $100.00.  All chaperones will have to submit to a federal criminal background check as required by the EWG School Department policy for overnight trips.
