West Greenwich Memorial Day Parade Performance

posted May 25, 2011, 6:45 AM by Gregg Charest   [ updated May 25, 2011, 10:30 AM ]

When: MONDAY, May 30, 2011 from 12:45 to 3:00pm

Where: Meet at the West Greenwich/Coventry Town line on Route 102.  You should be dropped off, because there is no parking at the beginning of the parade route. You can be picked up at WG town hall AFTER the ceremony ends (since we are an integral part of that ceremony).

What to bring: Your music in your flip folder, instrument lyre, and instrument (don’t forget neckstraps, reeds, etc).  Leave the case at home, or in the car, since there won’t be a secure place to leave it).

What to wear: Your EWG Band Polo (being handed out in class on Thursday), Khaki shorts or pants, socks and sneakers.  Flip flops are STRONGLY discouraged.  You may wear sunglasses and baseball hats.  Don’t forget the sunscreen – it’s going to be a warm and sunny day!

Note: Mr. Charest will bring marching percussion instruments, the Sousaphones and the Bari sax.  You are responsible for sticks, music, etc.

Note 2: The school WILL NOT be open on Monday, so bring your instrument home Thursday or Friday afternoon.  This is YOUR grade, so be responsible for it!
